So, here it is. My first wedding. There is SO much I wish I had done differently. I just hope the bride and groom are moderately happy with the pictures. Michelle and Brandon, I just want to thank you so much for letting me be apart of your day.
My suggestion box is open for processing critique. I had to shoot 95% of the pictures at ISO 1600 due to low lighting in the church. I ran these through noise ninja and lost a bit of sharpness but I figure better a softer look than all noisy.

8:30ish - Getting ready to go

9:30ish - Quick shot

10:30ish - This is harder than I thought it would be. Not a very well executed photo but at least its a photo...

11:30ish - I am struggling for ideas

12:30ish - I missed the 12:30 mark due to actual work but I got this in the 12oclock hour so I'm counting it.

1:30ish - Lunch, yum.

2:30ish - Time for window washing

3:30ish - Plastic forks and one of my favorites of today.

4:30ish - I found this canning lid and I wanted to get a shot of it spinning. Its very hard to make those spin where you want.

5:30ish - Home at LAST!

6:30ish - I love the afternoon light through this window (not particularly the heat of it when its 90 degrees out).

7:30ish - Great light for portraits of kitties in windows. This is B.B.

8:30ish - I did it!!! I took 12 photos in 12 hours! Hooray!
This is another of my favorites. I asked my daughter to come out and model for me. She was making faces and I caught this moment when she thought she was being particularly hilarious. (She is hilarious)

In just the last few days we found out that our landlords are selling the house we are renting and we have two months to find a new place. My truck's battery died last night and the tires suddenly started shaking like crazy when I corner. Needless to say I have been a bit busy the last few days and too tired at night to take pics. I had a really great time doing this and every one that has participated has done great. Good luck to all of you who are still in the running.

I was very uninspired today. This was done by sticking two different color slinkies together with sticky tack and lighting from above and behind. As for yesterdays picture, that was the result of pure frustration. I had the slinky stretched out in a vase of water and I was dropping food color in to get those cool "blobs" of color. Either I couldn't get the timing right or the focus was off. So I finally said forget it and I just dropped the whole slinky into the vase. The light was still there and the color all mixed up in the water so I just clicked a shot as the bubbles were floating to the top. A happy accident.

I got a late start tonight and I was really reaching for ideas. I think there may have been some technically better shots but I kept coming back to this one. I basically set the slinky on a light and started pulling the top of the slinky up as the shutter was open.

My sweet, sweet husband picked me up some brand new slinkies today. I have a lot of ideas for different pictures but I think I will start out with a simple studio shot. I picked up a very shallow pop up mesh box which I think with some modifications will make a great table top light box.
